Aurangzeb Reaffirms Commitment to Advance Green Finance Initiatives

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing green finance initiatives, the implementation of the national green taxonomy, and the roll-out of sustainability frameworks. He shared these views during a meeting with a delegation led by the President of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), Jean Bouquot.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister emphasized the necessity of supporting SMEs in formalizing their financial reporting practices. He highlighted Pakistan’s proactive regulatory direction in digital assets and emerging technologies, where new institutional frameworks are being established. These efforts aim to introduce innovation into the formal, transparent, and compliant economy.
