Australia Awards Ceremony Honours Pakistani Professionals Returning from Australia

Islamabad: The Australia Awards Scholarships Recognition Ceremony was held in Islamabad, honoring Pakistani professionals returning home after completing fully funded studies and training in Australia. Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Timothy Kane was the chief guest of the ceremony.

According to Radio Pakistan, in his address, the High Commissioner described the Australia Awards Scholarships as a long-term investment in Pakistan’s future, preparing the younger generation for research-driven digitization and an export-oriented agricultural economy. He highlighted that since 2009, over 900 Australia Awards Scholarships have been awarded, contributing to a strong pipeline of skilled professionals ready to address Pakistan’s key challenges.

Later, certificates were distributed among 35 Pakistani students who completed masters programs and short courses at various Australian institutions under the programme.
