Karachi: Automobile sales in Pakistan are projected to experience a slight increase in April 2025, with three major companies anticipating a 4% year-on-year growth, according to a report by JS Global. Indus Motors Company Ltd (INDU), Honda Atlas Cars Ltd (HCAR), and Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd, which together account for 84% of the market, are expected to reach a sales volume of 9,466 units.
The growth is primarily attributed to significant improvements in the sales volumes of Honda Atlas and Indus Motors, which are expected to see year-on-year increases of 70% and 58%, respectively. However, Pak Suzuki, the market leader, is anticipated to report a decline of 25% in year-on-year sales.
Overall, the combined sales for the companies are projected to achieve a 37% year-on-year growth during the first ten months of the fiscal year 2025.
The report highlights a 7.5% year-on-year rise in auto-financing as of March 2025, facilitated by ongoing monetary easing. The trend suggests a positive outlook for the automobile market, with continued momentum expected in the upcoming months.
