Awais Advocates for Resilient Regional Energy Framework

Islamabad: Minister for Power Sardar Awais Leghari has called for the development of a resilient regional energy architecture. Virtually addressing the ECO Clean Energy Center, he highlighted the urgency of accelerating the transition to renewable energy as a means to build a sustainable future for upcoming generations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Sardar Awais Leghari noted that Pakistan’s shift toward clean energy is already in progress, with an ambitious target of achieving a 60 percent share of renewables in the national energy mix by 2030. He further elaborated that nearly all new power projects in Pakistan are being developed using clean energy technologies.

Leghari emphasized that Pakistan has established supportive policy and regulatory frameworks designed to encourage private sector investment in the energy sector, promoting the development of renewable energy sources.
