Balochistan CM Directs Transformation of 5000 Houses to Solar System in Gwadar

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, announced that the provincial government is implementing measures to address the electricity shortfall through alternative energy sources. During a ceremony in Quetta, he highlighted the government’s commitment to utilizing solar energy to meet the region’s power needs.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to China for its contribution of the Solar Home System under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor initiative. This collaboration aims to alleviate energy challenges in the area by harnessing solar power.

The Chief Minister stated that the government has ensured the installation of the solar system with transparency, allocating four hundred million rupees as the initial funding for this project. This initiative is set to benefit five thousand houses in Gwadar, offering a sustainable solution to the region’s electricity issues.
