Balochistan Government Commits to Sports Development; Sabzal School Wins Boys Throwball League

Quetta: Balochistan’s commitment to bolster sports within the province was reiterated during the closing ceremony of the Boys Throwball League Tournament, where Sabzal School emerged victorious. The provincial administration, led by Secretary Information and Chairman Balochistan Throwball Association, Imran Khan Afridi, promised to enhance facilities and support for local athletes, marking a significant push towards sports development.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the final match of the tournament featured a competitive showdown between Kali Sheikhan School and Sabzal School, with Sabzal School securing the championship by defeating their rivals. The match, which commenced at 10:30 am, saw active participation from various institutional teams, highlighting the event’s broad engagement.

Imran Khan Afridi, during his address at the event, emphasized the importance of sports in fostering a positive image of the province and the country. He assured that the provincial government is dedicated to utilizing all available resources to support athletes and enhance sports infrastructures. The ceremony concluded with Afridi distributing prizes among the players and officials, celebrating their achievements and commitment to the sport.

This initiative by the Balochistan government not only aims to promote physical activities among the youth but also to scout and nurture local talent to achieve national and possibly international acclaim in sports.
