Balochistan Government Unveils Comprehensive Reforms: CM Sarfraz

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced that the provincial government is implementing a series of reforms and development initiatives aimed at creating opportunities for youth and promoting sustainable development throughout the province.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister highlighted these initiatives during an open session on X Space, which included participants from various sectors such as critics, NGO representatives, and sub-nationalists. Bugti emphasized the implementation of several projects under the Youth Engagement Plan, designed to enhance employment opportunities for young people across all districts, including Gwadar.

The provincial government has also launched pension reforms, an electric vehicle policy, and measures to reduce unnecessary expenditures. Comprehensive reforms in various government departments have been introduced to streamline operations. Special funds have been allocated for the Education Endowment Fund and scholarship programs to support higher education in Balochistan.

A significant technological advancement is underway with a four-billion-rupee project aimed at providing high-speed internet connectivity to all government schools, colleges, universities, and health facilities across the province.

Addressing the law and order situation, Bugti assured that violent elements would not undermine the state’s authority, crediting Pakistan’s professional armed forces for maintaining order. He also criticized the Baloch Yakjehti Committee for allegedly inciting violence under the pretense of advocating for missing persons and public rights.

Experts noted that the Chief Minister’s evidence-based approach effectively countered misleading propaganda about Balochistan. They pointed out that the support shown by thousands of young participants in the X Space for the state’s narrative indicated the failure of Indian proxies. The experts also praised Bugti’s direct engagement with the public, underscoring transparent governance and effective public outreach.

The online session, which peaked with over sixteen thousand participants, saw the Chief Minister directly addressing questions and presenting factual evidence on issues pertinent to Balochistan.
