Balochistan Govt Endeavouring to Tackle Climate Change: CM Sarfraz

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced that a comprehensive strategy is being formulated to tackle the adverse impacts of climate change. The announcement was made during a discussion with the Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam, in Quetta.

According to Radio Pakistan, Sarfraz Bugti highlighted climate change as one of the most serious challenges of the present era, emphasizing that its effects are being felt with greater intensity in Balochistan. He pointed out that the provincial government is actively working on a durable policy framework aimed at reducing vulnerabilities and ensuring long-term resilience.

During the meeting, Romina Khurshid Alam reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to working closely with Balochistan on climate initiatives. The collaboration aims to strengthen the province’s capacity to address climate-related issues effectively.
