Balochistan Govt Launches Initiative to Promote Fisheries Sector

Islamabad: The Government of Balochistan has launched a landmark initiative to promote and modernize the province’s fisheries sector. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding worth five billion rupees has been signed between the Government of Balochistan and private sector partners.

According to Radio Pakistan, under this agreement, a state-of-the-art shrimp farming facility based on modern aquaculture techniques will be established in the Damb area of Hub. The project aims to significantly strengthen Balochistan’s fisheries sector, generate thousands of employment opportunities, and enhance the province’s seafood exports, particularly shrimp and related products.
