Ban Imposed on Dairy and Cattle Farms in Urban Quetta

Quetta: A new directive has been issued prohibiting the operation of all dairy and cattle farms within the 58 wards of Quetta’s former municipal limits. The directive also bans the establishment of any new cattle or dairy farms in the urban areas of Quetta.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, a circular from the Commissioner Quetta Division and Administrator Metropolitan Corporation Quetta outlines a 15-day grace period for the relocation of farms established in the past two years. This decision comes despite existing court orders. Following the grace period, the district administration, police, and Metropolitan Corporation Quetta will have the authority to seal any non-compliant farms.

A joint team, supervised by the Additional Commissioner Quetta, will be assembled to conduct a survey. This team will identify and seal farms that violate municipal corporation rules or cause public nuisance.
