Ban Imposed on Government Employees’ Participation in Sibi By-Elections

Sibi: A high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sibi Jahanzeb Sheikh addressed a range of issues related to the upcoming by-elections in Sibi district, including a strict prohibition on the involvement of government officers and employees in election activities.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Sheikh emphasized that the Election Commission has enacted a comprehensive ban on government employees and officers from engaging in political activities. He stated that any public servant found participating in such activities would face immediate disciplinary action. District Monitoring Officer Sibi, Ali Asghar Magsi, reinforced this directive, noting that any government employee aiding or assisting in the election campaign of a political party or candidate would be subject to swift action. Furthermore, Magsi addressed employees assigned to election duties who might be attempting to evade their responsibilities, asserting that such individuals would be held accountable without exception.
