Bangladesh and Pakistan Discuss Enhanced Media Cooperation

Islamabad: Information Secretary Ambreen Jan and Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Iqbal Hussain Khan, met in Islamabad to explore avenues for boosting media cooperation and strengthening people-to-people contacts between the two nations. The discussions centered on leveraging shared historical and cultural values to enhance mutual understanding.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting underscored the longstanding diplomatic and cultural ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Secretary Jan highlighted the potential for collaboration between state media organizations, such as Pakistan Television Corporation, Associated Press of Pakistan, and Radio Pakistan, with their Bangladeshi counterparts. The focus is on joint productions and news exchanges to foster a deeper connection.

High Commissioner Khan praised Pakistan’s efforts to promote diverse cooperation, emphasizing the importance of media collaboration in reinforcing the relationship between the two countries.
