Banned Awami Action Committee Engages in Armed Conflict with Law Enforcement Agencies

Islamabad: The banned Awami Action Committee (JAAC) has reportedly transformed into an armed faction, actively engaging in attacks against the police and other Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).

According to Radio Pakistan, the spokesperson for the Azad Kashmir Police, SSP Khawar Ali Shaukhat, made this revelation during a press conference in Rawlakot. He detailed how the law enforcement agencies have been exercising considerable restraint, choosing to respond only when provoked by the members of this banned group.

SSP Shaukhat revealed that several individuals, identified as miscreants, have been apprehended, and a cache of sophisticated foreign-made weapons was seized from them. He emphasized the committee’s intent to disrupt peace and stability in Azad Kashmir.
