BGI Group Chairman Explores Collaborative Opportunities with PARC

Islamabad: A high-level delegation led by Mr. Wang Jian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BGI Group, visited the National Agricultural Research Centre to explore collaboration opportunities with the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC). The discussions aimed at identifying potential areas for joint agricultural research and innovation.

According to a statement by Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, Chairman PARC Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali provided an overview of the ongoing research initiatives at PARC. The delegation also toured the advanced research laboratories at the National Institute for Genomics and Advanced Biotechnology.

Mr. Wang Jian, a prominent figure in genomics, is known for his significant contributions to genetic research. He established BGI Biotechnology and was instrumental in China’s involvement in the Human Genome Project. His leadership has been pivotal in BGI’s expansion and its role in advancing genomics research globally.
