Bidding Process for PIACL Privatization Begins in ICT

Islamabad: The bidding process for the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) began in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, in the first round, three bidders, namely consortiums led by Lucky Cement, Air Blue, and Arif Habib Corporation, submitted their sealed bids to acquire seventy-five percent shares in the PIACL.

Following the approval of the reference price for PIACL by the Privatisation Commission Board and the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation, the sealed bids are scheduled to be opened at 3:30 pm later today in the presence of the bidders.
