Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Observed Across Pakistan

Islamabad: Seventy-third birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of Pakistan and first woman Prime Minister in the Muslim World, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, is being observed today.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Asif Ali Zardari stated that the nation remembers a leader whose courage, political vision, and commitment to democracy left a lasting mark on Pakistan’s history. He highlighted how Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto broke barriers and opened new possibilities for women in public life. The President emphasized that her public life reflected resilience in the face of adversity and a steady belief in the strength of democratic institutions.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also paid homage to the political services of former Prime Minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. In her special message on the occasion of Mohtarma Shaheed’s 73rd birthday, Maryam Nawaz described Benazir Bhutto as a Martyr of Democracy and a symbol of political stability. She acknowledged Shaheed Mohtarma’s active role in ensuring women’s participation in the field of politics.
