Lucknow: The dead body of a young Dalit woman was found in the BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the naked body of the woman was discovered near the Kanjara River bridge in the Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh.
The victim’s family has named Prashant Yadav as responsible for her murder, alleging political motives behind the crime. They have also stated that the woman was raped before being killed.
Senior police officer Vinod Kumar confirmed that the 23-year-old woman had gone missing from Karhal the previous night. He added that her body was found today.
Her father has filed a case against two suspects, Prashant Yadav and Mohan Katheria, both of whom have been arrested.
