Body of Man Discovered in Srinagar, Investigation Underway

Srinagar: The body of a man was found near the riverbanks in the Nowgam area of Srinagar district in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The discovery was made on Sunday, prompting local authorities to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased has been identified as Mudasir Ashraf Dar, son of Mohammad Ashraf Dar, and a resident of Namblabal, Pampore in the Pulwama district. Passersby who came across the body promptly informed the police, leading to a rapid response from law enforcement. The body was taken into custody for further examination as investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of death.

In a separate incident on the same day, a decomposed body was found in the Khadoni area of Kulgam district. Local residents noticed the body floating in a drain and alerted the authorities. The police responded by transferring the body to a nearby health center for medical and legal procedures. The identity of the deceased in this case remains unknown, and the body has been placed in the morgue pending identification.
