BSF Personnel Dies While on Election Duty in Bandipora, IIOJK

Srinagar: A member of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has died while on election duty in the Bandipora district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the BSF man, identified as Barber Ram Babu Thakur from the 75th battalion, became unconscious during his duties in the Gurez area of Bandipora. He was urgently transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Thakur’s body is currently at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Dawar, where a postmortem will be conducted. Following the completion of medico-legal formalities, his remains will be returned to his family. Thakur was originally from Salugara Bazar in Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal, India.
