Building Collapse Claims Six Lives in Karachi

Karachi: Six people were killed and eight others injured when a five-story building collapsed in the Baghdadi area of Lyari in Karachi on Friday. The rescue operation is underway, and the city administration is busy removing debris through heavy machinery.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Bilawal Bhutto, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed deep concern over the incident and directed efforts to accelerate the pace of the operation.
