Business Leaders Call For Economic Strength On Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day

Islamabad: Top officials of the United Business Group (UBG) marked Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day by urging national unity and economic progress.

In a combined statement, UBG leaders, including Patron-in-Chief S.M. Tanveer, President Zubair Tufail, and others, encouraged citizens to collaborate for a stronger and wealthier nation. They commended Field Marshal General Asim Munir for upholding the founders’ vision and celebrated the historical triumph over India.

The leaders stressed that the same unified spirit should be channeled towards economic growth, with the objective of making Pakistan a regional economic powerhouse. According to UBG spokesperson Gulzar Feroz, the business sector is commemorating Independence Day with patriotic fervor, including prayers for peace and prosperity.

Mr. Tanveer conveyed his greetings, emphasizing the day’s significance and the sacrifices made for freedom. Mr. Tufail highlighted the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, advocating for renewed dedication to national integrity and financial stability.

Malik Khuda Bakhsh, a Core Committee Member, described Pakistan as a symbol of faith and sacrifice, highlighting the duty to protect its borders. Hanif Gohar, Secretary General (Sindh), called Pakistan’s creation a remarkable feat, emphasizing the responsibility for continued strength.

Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir and Khalid Tawab, former FPCCI Senior Vice Presidents, urged all societal sectors to contribute to national growth and reaffirmed the business community’s commitment to prosperity.
