Cabinet Committee on SOEs Approves Key Board Appointments

Islamabad: The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises has approved key board appointments and reviewed the performance of SOEs and the implementation of the Cabinet’s decisions.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Cabinet Committee convened in Islamabad on Tuesday with Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb presiding over the meeting. During the session, a presentation was delivered by the Finance Division, which outlined the financial performance of both loss-making and profit-making SOEs for the year.

The Finance Minister directed the relevant authorities to expedite the privatization process for loss-making entities to enhance financial sustainability. The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mr. Riaz Hussain Pirzada, the Attorney General of Pakistan, federal secretaries, and senior officials from pertinent ministries, divisions, and departments.
