CDC Advances Digitalization with AKD Securities Integration

Karachi: The Central Depository Company of Pakistan (CDC) has successfully integrated AKD Securities Limited into its RAAST Aggregator Platform, enabling real-time, secure fund transfers for investors. This collaboration, facilitated by Microlinks (Pvt.) Limited, marks a significant step in CDC’s efforts to enhance digitalization and efficiency in Pakistan’s capital market.

The agreement was formalized at a signing ceremony held at CDC House, attended by Mr. Badiuddin Akber, Chief Executive Officer of CDC, and Ms. Hina Junaid Dhedhi, Chairperson of AKD Securities. The integration is now operational, providing AKD Securities’ clients with access to the new service.

Through this system, CDC assigns a unique RAAST Investment ID in IBAN format to each investor sub-account. Once registered with the investor’s bank, funds can be directly transferred to the broker’s client account, completing transactions in real time and making funds available for trading within minutes.

Mr. Badiuddin Akber noted, “By extending the RAAST Aggregator to AKD Securities, CDC is redefining standard practices in investor fund transfers, ensuring transactions are immediate and secure.”

Ms. Hina Junaid Dhedhi expressed, “AKD Securities is honored to partner with CDC in this landmark initiative. This RAAST integration is another step in delivering convenience and confidence to investors.”

The ceremony also featured a briefing on CDC’s Asaan Connect product, an onboarding tool aimed at simplifying KYC processes, which received commendation from Ms. Dhedhi. She reiterated AKD’s commitment to future collaborations with CDC to enhance investor facilitation.

This integration with AKD Securities adds to CDC’s growing list of broker partnerships, which include Muhammad Munir Muhammad Ahmed Khanani Securities, Chase Securities, EClear Services Limited, Zahid Latif Khan Securities, and Standard Capital Securities, with more expected to follow.
