Chairman JCSC Engages in Key Talks at IDEAS-24 in Karachi.

Karachi: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, visited the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar-24 at the Expo Center in Karachi, where he engaged in extensive discussions on the sidelines of the event.

According to Radio Pakistan, General Mirza held separate meetings with a range of officials, including Defence Ministers, Armed Forces Commanders, and other key representatives from countries such as Turkiye, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Argentina, Malaysia, UAE, Cambodia, Kingdom of Eswatini, Gambia, Brunei, Maldives, and Malawi. These meetings focused on critical aspects of defence and security relations.

The discussions highlighted various facets of bilateral security and cooperation, with a particular emphasis on defence production. The dignitaries expressed keen interest in enhancing their collaboration with Pakistan’s defence sector, recognizing the potential for mutual benefit.

In addition to these meetings, General Mirza delivered a keynote speech
at a seminar titled “Pakistan’s Defence Production and Potential: Challenges and Way forward”. He underscored the significant role of Pakistan’s defence industry in equipping the country’s Armed Forces.

General Mirza emphasized that Pakistan’s defence industries are not only meeting the nation’s essential defence needs but are also actively seeking partnerships in the international defence market. He highlighted that the IDEAS platform serves as an excellent opportunity to showcase Pakistan’s advanced Defence Industrial Complex to the global audience.

During his visit, General Mirza also toured the Pakistan Pavilion, where he praised the Tri-Services’ efforts in exhibiting Pakistan’s indigenous defence equipment, which is manufactured to international standards.
