Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti Commemorates Defense Day, Pledges Continued Support for National Security

Quetta: On the occasion of Defense Day, Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti delivered a poignant message highlighting the historical significance of September 6 in Pakistan’s history. The Chief Minister emphasized the day as a reminder of the nation’s collective spirit and determination to defend the integrity and security of Pakistan, a sentiment demonstrated during the 1965 war against India.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Chief Minister Bugti elaborated on the valiant efforts of the Pakistan Army in 1965, noting how despite being outnumbered and less equipped, the armed forces and the citizens united to thwart the advances of Indian forces. He praised the historic bravery and unity that safeguarded the country’s geographical borders and upheld its sovereignty.

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to reaffirm the ongoing commitment of his government and the people of Balochistan in supporting the armed forces and other security agencies. He stressed that the sacrifices of martyrs will not be forgotten and emphasized the collective role of patriotic Pakistanis in ensuring the nation’s defense, development, integrity, and stability. Furthermore, Bugti warned against those spreading terrorism and chaos in Balochistan, asserting that no concessions would be made and that such elements would be dealt with severely.

The statement concluded with a tribute to the martyrs who have laid down their lives for the country, marking Defense Day as a renewal of the pledge to defend every inch of the nation against any subversive threats.
