Chinese Ambassador calls on Prime Minister Khoso

Islamabad, April 23, 2013 (PPI-OT): H.E Mr Liu Jian, the Ambassador of China in Pakistan called on Prime Minister Justice ® Mir Hazar Khoso at Prime Minister House this morning.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan and China enjoy close brotherly relations which are deep rooted and time tested.

Prime Minister Justice ® Mir Hazar Khoso extended his condolences on the loss of life and property caused by the recent earth quake in Eastern China. “In this hour of grief the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with Chinese friends”, said the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister extended felicitations to the new Chinese leadership and expressed the confidence that the relationship between the two brotherly countries would be further strengthened and taken to new heights.

The Prime Minister appreciated the invaluable assistance being provided to Pakistan by China in its socio economic development and hoped that the handing over of Gwadar Port to China would prove to be an impetus not only in further cementing the ties between the two countries but also accelerate the pace of development in Pakistan.

The Chinese Ambassador Mr. Liu Jian thanked the Prime Minister for his sentiments towards China. China, he said, values Pakistan’s support and all round friendship. The Chinese Ambassador said that Pakistan is like his second home.
