Chinese Delegation Visits NDMA Headquarters in Islamabad

Islamabad: A delegation from the Chinese Embassy, led by Charg© d’Affaires Shi Yuanqiang, visited the NDMA Headquarters today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the NDMA team provided a detailed overview of relief and response activities in regions affected by the current monsoon. Chairman NDMA Lt General Inam Haider Malik emphasized the coordinated efforts with Provincial Governments and relevant Provincial Disaster Management Authorities. He highlighted the ongoing rescue and evacuation efforts, as well as the timely assistance provided under the Prime Minister’s Relief Assistance program.

During the visit, the Chinese Charg© d’Affaires commended NDMA’s proactive measures in mitigating the impacts of the monsoon, stating that these efforts are crucial for protecting lives and livelihoods, and for enhancing Pakistan’s resilience to climate challenges. He also expressed condolences for the lives lost during the floods and affirmed China’s cooperation with the Government of Pakistan for assisting flood-affected areas.
