Christian Leaders Meet with Punjab Police to Discuss Security Measures

Lahore: A delegation of Christian leaders met with the Additional Inspector General (IG) Operations Punjab, Shahzada Sultan, at the Central Police Office to discuss security measures and issues faced by the Christian community. The delegation, which included members such as Kamran Pervez Chaudhry, Pastor Shahzad Siddique, and others, expressed appreciation for the security arrangements provided by the Punjab Police during Christmas and raised concerns about ongoing issues.

According to Punjab Police, Additional IG Operations assured the delegation that their issues would be addressed on a priority basis. During the meeting, Sultan emphasized the security measures in place for churches and the importance of the Christian community in Pakistan’s development and peace. He highlighted the role of Christian officials at Meesaq Centers in resolving minority issues and acknowledged the contribution of Christian employees to the police department. The delegation expressed gratitude for the police’s efforts in ensuring the safety and freedom of religious practices across Punjab.
