Rawalpindi: Deputy Minister of Defence and Commander of Air Defence Forces of Uzbekistan, Major General Burkhanov Akhmad Jamalovich, met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday. The meeting focused on key issues of bilateral strategic interest, with a particular emphasis on the evolving regional security situation.
According to Radio Pakistan, both sides expressed a strong desire to enhance military-to-military cooperation. The visiting Uzbek official praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and recognized their significant sacrifices in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
