Rawalpindi: Deputy Chairman Development Control Committee and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza conferred Civil Awards to the eminent scientists and engineers working under National Command Authority for their meritorious services.
According to Radio Pakistan, these awards were conferred on behalf of the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at the investiture ceremony held at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi.
A total of forty-seven officers received awards. Among these, ten officers received Sitara-i-Imtiaz, 21 officers received the President’s Award for Pride of Performance, and 16 officers received Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.
