Mal©: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, during his official visit to Maldives, held key meetings with the Maldivian civil-military leadership, including President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
According to Radio Pakistan, General Mirza also met with Defence Minister Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon and Chief of Defence Force of Maldives Major General Ibrahim Hilmy. The discussions centered around the evolving global and regional security environment and issues of mutual interest, particularly focusing on bilateral defence and security cooperation.
Both parties explored opportunities to enhance military-to-military engagements between Pakistan and Maldives, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening this partnership. The Maldivian leadership praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and recognized their sacrifices in combating terrorism.
