CJCSC Reiterates Support for Peaceful Resolution of Disputes

Rawalpindi: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, has reiterated Pakistan’s consistent support for the just and peaceful resolution of disputes, including those of Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir. He was speaking at the closing ceremony of the ‘Islamabad Symposium 2025’ organized by NUST Institute of Policy Studies in Rawalpindi.

According to Radio Pakistan, General Mirza reaffirmed Pakistan’s active role in promoting regional peace and stability. He highlighted the need for balancing the relationship between the Global North and Global South through dialogue, dignity, and principled diplomacy.

Emphasizing the importance of replacing confrontation with cooperation, CJCSC noted that Pakistan remains guided by a vision of coexistence rooted in mutual respect and international law. The event was attended by members of academia, bureaucrats, foreign ambassadors, representatives of the business community, and students and faculty from leading universities.
