Cleanliness, Sanitation Remain Top Priority of Provincial Govt: CM Punjab

Karachi: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that clean environment is the fundamental right of every citizen and sanitation remains a top priority of the provincial government. Addressing the Suthra Punjab ceremony in Lahore, she said cleanliness is an essential part of faith and described the Suthra Punjab Programme as a key initiative of the government.

According to Radio Pakistan, the sanitation system is being modernized on advanced lines, with all necessary resources provided for effective implementation. The Chief Minister emphasized that modern monitoring tools, including CCTV cameras and drone technology, are being utilized to ensure transparency and efficiency in the program.

She directed administrative officers to ensure effective monitoring of the programme and to address public complaints on priority. Furthermore, she warned that corruption, mismanagement, and negligence will not be tolerated in the programme, underscoring the government’s commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
