Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has directed to eliminate illegal trawling in provincial waters. Chairing a meeting in Quetta today, he directed the Fisheries Department to take immediate and uncompromising action.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for stringent measures to protect marine resources in the region. The meeting addressed the urgent issue of unauthorized fishing activities that have been impacting the livelihood of local fishermen and the sustainability of marine life.
The Fisheries Department has been tasked with executing a comprehensive plan to combat illegal trawling.
