CM Maryam Orders Grand Independence Day Celebrations Across Punjab

Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed that Independence Day be celebrated across the province, particularly in Lahore, with dignity and grandeur.

According to Radio Pakistan, a meeting was held in Lahore today, during which Deputy Commissioner Lahore, (Retired) Captain Muhammad Ali Ijaz, gave a detailed briefing to Adviser to the Chief Minister of Punjab on Political Affairs Zeeshan Malik on the arrangements and preparations for the Independence Day celebrations in the provincial capital.

The meeting reviewed a comprehensive and coordinated plan for the celebrations, including sports, cultural, national, and family entertainment activities to be organized throughout the month.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said Lahore would celebrate Independence Day with great national enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and splendour.

Addressing the meeting, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Punjab on Political Affairs Zeeshan Malik said that, on the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Lahore would serve as the focal point of the province’s Independence Day celebrations. He said promoting national unity, patriotism, and love for Pakistan’s green crescent flag remains one of the Punjab government’s foremost priorities.
