CM Punjab Approves Establishment of Six Biogas Plants to Boost Clean Energy

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the establishment of six biogas plants to boost clean energy in the province. Presiding over a meeting in Lahore today, she said four biogas plants will be established in Lahore and two in Faisalabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting also approved a feasibility study for a multi-fuel bio-refinery. The Chief Minister also directed the authorities to ensure the early completion of the Waste-to-Energy project.

The biogas plants will provide affordable gas for domestic use, while also producing bio-fertilizer for agricultural purposes.
