CM Punjab Orders Strict Action Against Management of DHQ Pakpattan

Punjab: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz undertook a surprise visit to District Headquarters Hospital Pakpattan on Friday. She went through several wards where patients and their attendants complained regarding the mismanagement and negligence.

According to Radio Pakistan, on the Chief Minister’s direction, a case of criminal negligence was filed against the CEO Health Pakpattan and Medical Superintendent. Maryam Nawaz also directed the authorities to arrest both individuals.

In response to complaints about overcharging in parking fees, the Chief Minister ordered the arrest of the owner and in-charge of the Parking Company. Additionally, three lab attendants were dismissed for malpractice, and the Deputy Commissioner Pakpattan was ordered to relieve his charge.

Maryam Nawaz further directed the imposition of a ban on the use of mobile phones by duty doctors and paramedical staff.
