Islamabad: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while very cold conditions are forecasted for hilly areas during the next twelve hours. However, regions such as Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northern Balochistan may experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions with rain and light snow at isolated places.
According to Radio Pakistan, the temperatures recorded in major cities this morning were as follows: Islamabad and Quetta at six degrees centigrade, Lahore at twelve, Karachi at sixteen, Peshawar at eleven, Gilgit at three, Murree at zero, and Muzaffarabad at seven degrees centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir predicts partly cloudy weather with the possibility of light rain, wind, and thunderstorms during the afternoon in Srinagar and Leh. The regions of Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula are expected to experience partly cloudy and very cold weather, while Jammu will remain cold and dry. This morning, temperatures recorded in these areas were: Srinagar and Baramula at minus-three degrees centigrade, Jammu at eight, Leh at minus-fourteen, Pulwama at minus one, and Anantnag and Shopian at minus-two degrees centigrade.
