Cold, Dry Weather Expected in Most Parts of Country: PMD

Islamabad: Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while very cold conditions will prevail in the northern regions over the next twelve hours. Moderate to dense fog is likely to persist over the plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.

According to Radio Pakistan, the temperatures recorded this morning in major cities were as follows: Islamabad and Peshawar at nine degrees centigrade, Lahore at fourteen, Karachi at seventeen, Quetta at minus-one, Murree at three, and Muzaffarabad and Gilgit at five degrees centigrade.

The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir predicts partly cloudy and very cold weather in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu is expected to experience cold and partly cloudy conditions. The temperatures recorded in this region were: Srinagar and Baramula at one degree centigrade, Jammu at eleven, Leh at minus-three, and Pulwama and Shopian at zero, with Anantnag at minus-one degree centigrade.
