Condition of youth injured in CRPF firing remains critical

Srinagar, June 17, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a 24-year-old youth who was injured in the firing by Indian troops in Soura area of Srinagar district yesterday evening continues to remain in a critical condition. The youth identified as Abdul Majeed War was injured when personnel of Central Reserve Police Force hit him from the close range during a protest in the area.

Abdul Majeed War along with another youth suffered pellet wounds. Both were taken to Soura hospital for treatment; however, the condition of War is stated to be critical. Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Farooq Jan confirmed that the youth was received in critical condition and was being treated. “His condition is very serious and is on the ventilator,” he told media.
