Congress Criticizes Modi Government Over Inflation and Unemployment

New Delhi: The main opposition party in India, Congress, has strongly criticized the Modi government over the rising inflation and unemployment in the country.

According to Kashmir Media Service, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh stated that the government’s aim is not to address issues like inflation and unemployment but to obscure the truth by manipulating statistics.

Ramesh accused the government of ignoring public problems and engaging in what he termed as “statistic politics.” He emphasized that citizens are facing significant hardships due to inflation and price hikes, noting that the inflation rate is the highest in the past 14 months. He alleged that the government is altering statistics to present lower prices, thereby falsely indicating reduced inflation.

Furthermore, Ramesh pointed out that the Modi government had promised to provide two crore jobs, yet claimed that the administration is attempting to mislead the public by altering figures to mask the rising unemployment rate.
