Constitution of Pakistan Rooted in Holy Quran and Sunnah: Ashrafi

Islamabad: Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Maulana Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi emphasized that the Constitution of Pakistan is grounded in the principles of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. He addressed newsmen in Lahore, stressing the importance of national unity in overcoming extremism and safeguarding the constitutional framework of the nation.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ashrafi underscored the necessity of dialogue only with those who recognize and accept Pakistan’s constitutional structure. He further advocated for the removal of social media content that contravenes the Constitution and the laws of the country.

Ashrafi announced a series of programs under the theme “Paigham-e-Pakistan” to be conducted throughout August. He highlighted this initiative as a document reflecting national consensus.
