COP29 Commences in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Baku: The United Nations Climate Change Conference 2024, COP29, has officially begun in Baku and is set to continue until the 22nd of this month.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the opening plenary session of COP29, Pakistan highlighted the crucial need for developing countries to have access to climate finance. The Pakistan delegation underlined the importance of reaching a consensus on the New Collective Quantified Goal on climate finance during this conference.

Additionally, Pakistan called for the enhancement of multilateral cooperation, especially considering the current geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainties.
