Karachi, March 21, 2020 (PPI-OT): Sindh Minister for Food and Minorities Affairs Hari Ram Kishori Lal has demanded the federal government to exempt the people from paying the electricity and gas bills as the situation demanded extraordinary steps. The Minister said that owing to the medical emergency situation, people particularly daily wagers as well as other contractual employees were suffering immensely.
It was not possible for them to pay their utility bills, he added. Hari Ram Kishori Lal further said that the Sindh government was distributing essential food items amongst 2 million people in the province. The Minister said that since situation was extremely unusual for everyone especially those who were daily wagers or those doing jobs on contractual basis, the cenrtre should exempt them from paying the utility bills.
