Customs Enforcement Islamabad Seizes Large Consignment of Counterfeit Cigarettes

Islamabad: The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Islamabad has conducted a major anti-smuggling operation at Chakri and Balkasar and seized a large consignment of counterfeit cigarettes.

According to Radio Pakistan, the operation was carried out on the basis of credible intelligence. During the coordinated enforcement action, Customs teams successfully intercepted eleven Mazda trucks loaded with counterfeit cigarettes.

The cumulative estimated value of the seized goods along with the offending vehicles exceeds 400 million rupees.

The operation reflects the continued resolve of Pakistan Customs to curb smuggling.
