Dar Chairs First Meeting of Steering Committee on Solarization of Tubewells.

Balochistan: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the first meeting of the Steering Committee on Solarization of Tubewells. During the meeting, he emphasized the financial challenges posed by unpaid electricity bills and illegal electricity usage in Balochistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the government’s initiative to solarize 27,000 agricultural tube wells in the region. A significant aspect of this project is that 70 percent of the financing will be provided by the Federal Government. This initiative is part of the government’s broader commitment to promoting renewable energy and addressing climate change challenges. By transitioning to solar energy, the project aims to contribute to a cleaner, more efficient, and climate-resilient Pakistan.
