Dar Directs Swift Response for Pakistani Victims of Moroccan Boat Tragedy

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has instructed relevant government ministries to provide prompt assistance to Pakistani nationals affected by a recent boat tragedy off the coast of Morocco.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar chaired a high-level meeting focusing on the incident as well as the broader issue of third-country relocations of Afghan nationals. The meeting brought together senior officials, including the Foreign Secretary and Secretary of Interior, to address the crisis and form a coordinated response.

During the meeting, Dar emphasized the need for efficient and timely support for the victims’ families. He specifically tasked the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior to spearhead the efforts, ensuring that Pakistani victims receive the necessary assistance in the wake of the tragic incident.

The government is now mobilizing resources to respond to the needs on the ground, following Dar’s directive for urgent action.
