Dar Reaffirms Pakistan’s Commitment to Safeguard National Interests

London: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar engaged in a dialogue with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy on Sunday, providing an update on the current regional situation.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dar highlighted India’s false accusations, unwarranted propaganda, and unilateral actions, including its illegal decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, which Pakistan views as a blatant breach of India’s international obligations. Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast determination to protect its national interests, while also striving to foster peace and stability in the region.

The UK Foreign Secretary underlined the necessity of de-escalating tensions through dialogue and the peaceful resolution of disputes. In response, Dar expressed Pakistan’s willingness to engage in any independent and transparent investigation to uncover the truth. Both leaders concurred on sustaining active communication concerning the developing situation.
