Dar Stresses Need to Maximize Energy Sector’s Productivity

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized the importance of developing the energy sector to maximize its productivity and contribution to Pakistan’s economic growth.

According to Radio Pakistan, while chairing a meeting on the energy sector in Islamabad on Friday, Dar noted that Pakistan is blessed with abundant energy and mineral resources. He stressed the need to enhance exploration and increase productivity, while ensuring that energy is made available to the people at affordable prices.

The Ministry of Petroleum provided a detailed briefing on the overall energy situation in Pakistan and shared various proposals for improving the sector.
