Death Anniversary of Alghoza Player Misri Khan Jamali Observed

Nawab shah: The 45th death anniversary of renowned Alghoza player Misri Khan Jamali was observed on Monday.

According to Radio Pakistan, Misri Khan Jamali began his career by starting a business of music instruments in Nawab Shah, but he later gained popularity for his exceptional skills in playing the Alghoza, a locally made music instrument. His talent and dedication to the craft were broadcasted through Radio Pakistan, which aired his music programs for nearly three decades.

Ustad Misri Khan Jamali became a celebrated figure both nationally and internationally for his Alghoza performances. His contributions to the music field were recognized when he was awarded the Pride of Performance in 1979.

Misri Khan Jamali passed away on this day in 1980 and was laid to rest in Nawab Shah.
